Induction Programme
Symbiosis School of Biological Sciences (SSBS) had the “Deeksharambh” Student Induction Programme-2024 from July 01 to 9th, 2024 for M.Sc. Biotechnology and M.Sc. Biochemistry (2024-26 batch).
The induction ceremony of Deeksharambh-2024 was graced by the Guest of honour Dr. Shekhar C. Mande, Distinguished Professor, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and Dr. Rajiv Yeravdekar, Provost, Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune. The induction ceremony was attended by the senior batches of M.Sc. Biotechnology and M.Sc. Biochemistry students (2023-25 batch), SSBS Ph.D. scholars, SSBS faculty members and staff.
One-week induction programme for the freshers included different sessions and activities; Gender sensitization, Emotional Well-being, Biodiversity & Sustainability, Faculty interaction, Alumni interaction, interaction with senior students, Guest lectures, Yoga and meditation, Creative Arts & culture, Ice breaking sessions, Campus Tour and Pune City Tour.
The primary purpose of this one-week induction programme was to provide students an overall know-how about academics, examinations, administration, infrastructure, research areas of the SSBS faculty members, research facilities at SSBS and to make the new batch familiar with other students, faculty members, and staff of SSBS.
