National Science Day 2024

To celebrate the National Science Day 2024, scientific activities such as, Bio-Innovation idea competition (Group Activity), Science quiz, poster exhibition, lab visit and experimental demonstrations were organized on 27th and 29th February 2024. “Global Science for Global Wellbeing” was the theme for this year’s National Science Day. On 27th February 2024, Bio-Innovation Idea Competition (Group Activity) was organized for SSBS M.Sc. Biotechnology & M.Sc. Biochemistry students. The participating students presented innovative ideas in the field of applied biological and health sciences with an impact on public health and community welfare. The activity was aimed to cultivate practical skills and foster innovation, creativity, teamwork, and a sense of social responsibility among students. The event was attended by M.Sc. students, Ph.D. students and faculty members. A panel of experts consisting of two experts evaluated the presentation. Winners (top three) were awarded with cash prize

On 29th February 2024, a research exhibition together with scientific posters and lab tour was organized for the visiting students to demonstrate cutting-edge research in the field of biotechnology. On this occasion, undergraduate (only B.Sc.) students from various Universities and Institutes visited SSBS to participate in exciting science activities such as lab tours, experimental demos, poster exhibition and Science quiz with exciting prizes for winners. All participants received a souvenir and an e-certificate. The winners (top three) of the quiz competition were awarded with cash prize. Participants were also offered complimentary tea and snacks.
